Camille finally understood why Damien had rushed off yesterday.

The button she pressed revealed her destination.

Giselle, Nora, and the others realized she was visiting Helena.

They knew about Helena's illness.

Seeing Camille's chosen floor confirmed their suspicions.

The Lancasters and the Whitakers had never actually met Helena.

They had obtained her room number through discreet means.

But they hesitated to barge in uninvited.

They feared offending the powerful matriarch.

Now they watched Camille visit so casually.

Elodie and Yvette immediately felt resentment.

Giselle shot Camille a venomous glare.

Other people occupied the elevator.

She restrained herself from making a scene.

Once they stepped out, she ground her teeth.

"She's about to divorce Damien yet still clings to Mrs. Harrington Senior."

"Utterly shameless."

"She's cozying up to Mrs. Harrington Senior to sabotage things."

"She wants to turn Damien's family against Selene."

Elodie and Yvette shared the same suspicion.

They recalled how the Harringtons still refused to let Damien bring Selene for visits.

Meanwhile, Helena had just finished her medical check-up.

She felt overjoyed to see Camille arrive.

Helena knew Camille had work commitments.

"Camille, I won't keep you from your work."

"Please visit me again when you have time."

Camille checked the time.

It was indeed getting late.

She was about to agree when the door opened.

She turned to see Damien entering.

She realized he'd probably been at the hospital for half an hour already.

Yet he only now came to see Helena.

Thinking of Selene in a ward downstairs, she understood perfectly.

She was about to look away when he greeted her.

"You're here."

Camille responded with a faint hum.

She turned back to bid farewell to Helena.

Damien asked, "Leaving so soon?"

Helena snorted. "Soon?"

"Camille has been here over half an hour already."

"Do you think she's like you, always showing up this late?"

Camille didn't reply to him.

After saying goodbye again to Helena, she turned to leave.

Just before exiting completely, she heard Helena speak to Damien.

"Good thing Camille stayed to chat with me."

"Now that you're here, you can keep me company too."

Then she heard Damien's response as she left.

"I'm leaving on a business trip shortly."

"I need to head to the airport in a few minutes."

So he had time for Selene but not for Helena.

It wasn't that he didn't care.

Having known him for years, Camille knew he deeply cared for his grandmother.

But in his limited free time, most went to Selene.

Because he cared deeply for her too.
