Camille couldn't care less about Damien's opinion of her. His judgment meant nothing to her now.

After leaving The Meridian, Camille and Gabriel's team returned to Lucerne Tech for their afternoon meeting.

Helena and Giselle didn't join them this time. But Selene did.

Seeing Selene tagging along again, Gabriel discreetly rolled his eyes. "Mr. Harrington, regarding Ms. Lancaster—"

Damien anticipated his concern.

Before Gabriel could finish, Damien interrupted, "Confidentiality isn't an issue. If anything happens, I'll take full responsibility."

Gabriel had heard this exact assurance before when they first partnered with Vertex Dynamics.

Still, he needed verbal confirmation.

"Your word puts me at ease," Gabriel replied with a tight smile.

During the morning session, Damien had occupied the head chair alone. Now with Selene present, he had an additional seat placed beside him.

Camille noticed but quickly averted her gaze.

The meeting commenced.

With Gabriel leading, Camille and Declan remained mostly silent observers.

Midway through, Camille reached for a water bottle when her throat grew dry.

Declan was quicker. "Thirsty?" He twisted the cap open before she could respond.

"Thanks," Camille murmured, accepting the bottle.

Declan leaned closer to whisper technical commentary about Gabriel and Damien's discussion points.

Their hushed exchange continued longer than necessary.

Selene had already observed their closeness during lunch at The Meridian.

Declan had deliberately positioned himself beside Camille then too.
