Everett wasn't surprised to see Camille at an event like this when he spotted Gabriel and Graham among the guests.

Marcus hadn't expected to run into his own son either. "Business meeting?" he asked.

Everett nodded.

Graham Bennett chuckled. "Marcus, this is your son?"

Marcus grinned. "Indeed."

"He's impressive. Sharp mind, strong presence. You've raised him well."

Everett recognized Graham and Hugh Rhodes immediately. Though his father was close to them, he'd never actually met them in person.

When Graham extended a hand, Everett shook it politely. "You're too kind."

Then, Selene and Malcolm stepped out of their car, and Everett froze.

Selene and Malcolm were equally stunned when they saw Everett, Graham, Hugh, and the others. Aside from Everett, these were men rarely seen in public. Yet here they were, gathered in one place.

Of course, they also noticed Camille and Gabriel.

Gabriel was Graham’s protégé, the brilliant mind behind NovaSight Labs’s success. It made sense Graham would introduce him to influential connections.

Selene and Malcolm assumed Camille was only here because of Gabriel.

Not that it mattered. Meeting Hugh and Graham in person was an honor most people could only dream of.

They’d heard about Graham’s vast network, but seeing it firsthand was something else entirely.

Selene also recognized Hugh Rhodes and Marcus Mercer—Felix’s and Everett’s fathers. When Everett glanced their way, she offered a polite smile.

Marcus noticed his son’s attention. "You know them?"

Everett nodded.

Selene and Malcolm approached. Graham barely suppressed an eye roll. Camille remained expressionless.

Everett cleared his throat. "This is Malcolm Lancaster and his daughter, Selene."

His tone shifted noticeably when he said her name.

Marcus raised a brow. Selene carried herself with effortless elegance, clearly standing out in any crowd. His son had good taste.

Since Everett had introduced them, Marcus extended a hand. "Pleasure."

Hugh had seen Selene before—she was Damien’s girlfriend. As she walked over, he glanced at Camille.

Camille’s expression didn’t change, but the air around her turned icy.

Hugh knew she and Damien were married, but he wasn’t privy to their issues.

The way Camille’s gaze frosted over at the sight of Selene told him everything.

After greeting Marcus, Selene turned to Graham. "Mr. Bellamy."

Graham gave a curt nod and said nothing.

Damien had warned her Graham was distant with everyone. This wasn’t personal.
