Chapter 379: Vanessa Was About to Respond to Derek

Vanessa was about to respond to Derek when Penelope burst into her room with excitement. Good news? Vanessa had assigned her a task. Had she completed it successfully? Vanessa immediately ended the call with Derek. "You must be exhausted. Get some rest."

"Alright. You too," Derek replied flatly before hanging up.

Vanessa turned to Penelope. "What did you find out?" Not satisfied with just planting Caleb as a spy, Vanessa had sent Penelope to track Sienna's movements. She wanted to know exactly where Sienna lived, ideally to block access and trap her inside! Penelope reported, "I followed Sienna back to Willowcrest Estate. I was going to proceed as instructed, but I discovered two shocking revelations!" Penelope closed the door, approached Vanessa, and whispered, "Sienna is living with Lucas! They're both at Willowcrest Estate. Also, someone else was following and observing them."

"After further investigation, I identified the stalker as Valerie's assistant, Cassandra!"

Vanessa frowned. Lucas was still with Sienna? She thought Lucas was just toying with Sienna. Why was he still involved with her? As for Valerie? Anyone familiar with Lucas knew Valerie. She came from generations of aristocracy and education—an exceptionally talented and extraordinary woman. Although her reputation was briefly tarnished by the Giselle scandal, she recently issued several research and development patents that silenced critics. Since her patents benefited the public, who would dare insult a renowned researcher? This new information seemed insignificant, but for Vanessa, it presented more advantages than drawbacks!

Her red lips curled into a slow smile. Valerie was investigating Sienna… That meant she was also keeping tabs on Sienna! No matter how clever Sienna was, she couldn't defeat Valerie, who had vast resources. Vanessa simply needed to wait for Valerie to crush Sienna and then seize the opportunity! Vanessa eyed Penelope. "Did you find out what Valerie is planning?"

"She attended Senior Harrington's birthday celebration today, but Lucas ignored her. I spent a considerable amount to learn that Valerie is trying to obtain a photo of Sienna with Lucas to send to his parents!"

Penelope continued gossiping, "I heard Valerie spent a fortune on a Special Warfare spy camera after Boss Harrington moved out of his mansion, but she still hasn't managed to get a photo of them." Vanessa's eyes darkened. Was Lucas protecting Sienna? Still, Lucas must not know about Sienna's past pregnancy. He would surely discard her once he found out! The best strategy was to ally with Valerie. She picked up her phone and texted Caleb: [Caleb, are you settling in alright there?] At Willowcrest Estate.

Caleb had just finished arranging his new room when he received Vanessa's text. He replied: [Don't worry, Sis. Everything is perfect.] All the daily necessities were brand new, and Lucas had even sent someone to install a new curved-screen computer in his room. He could play games to his heart's content. Vanessa texted: [How is Sienna's manor? Is she lonely living by herself? Invite her to come home and live with us—it's better for everyone to be together.] Caleb thought about how cozy everything felt and sent a reassuring reply.
