Chapter 364: Derek's Brow Furrowed

“Mr. Prescott, Senior Prescott and Madam Prescott require your immediate presence at Kingsport Medical Center.”

“Hospital? Why?” Derek’s brow furrowed.

Henry responded, “Vanessa underwent surgery and nearly bled out. The Bennett family is causing a scene and demanding answers from you.” Derek’s temple throbbed. Nearly bled out? The Bennetts and the Prescotts knew? How? How was this possible?! Today was his only window of opportunity! Once Lucas returned to Sienna, everything would be ruined! It was a twenty-minute drive to Willowcrest Estate… just twenty minutes away! He told Henry, “I’ll be there in three hours. Have them calm down first—I’ll provide a full explanation later.”

“Apologies, Sir, but Senior Prescott insists you come immediately. The Bennett family has already begun contacting reporters and lawyers!”

If Derek refused to go to the hospital, the Bennetts would go public and file charges against him! Damn it! Derek slammed his fist against the steering wheel in fury. At Willowcrest Estate… Sienna was playing a video game with Noah. He controlled a rabbit-like character that hopped around, following her avatar. Whenever an enemy attacked, he would jump in front of her to defend. A warm smile touched Sienna’s lips. Even in a game, she felt protected. Mid-game, her phone rang. She dismissed the call and continued playing.

It rang again almost immediately. She answered, balancing the phone between her shoulder and chin while her fingers flew across the controller. Henry Bennett’s voice came through. “Sienna, are you available? Come to Kingsport Medical Center right away. Vanessa’s condition is critical.”

“What? What happened?” Sienna asked.

She’d had almost no contact with Vanessa since the wedding. The Bennett family hadn’t pushed for any meetings either. Henry sighed heavily. “She was pregnant with Derek’s child. He forced her to terminate it. We need you here.” Henry respected Sienna’s decisions. Regardless of the outcome, they would make Derek explain. Since Sienna had nearly married him, she deserved to know the truth. Sienna’s frown deepened. So it had finally happened. She had been waiting for this day.

“Alright,” she replied. “I’ll be there within thirty minutes.”

The game ended just as she hung up. She walked over to Noah. “Noah, can you stay home for a little while? Mommy will ask a very special friend to come play with you. I’ll be back in two hours!”

“Noah wants to go with Mommy!” Noah jumped off the sofa, his small face set with determination.

Sienna ruffled his hair. “Noah, listen. My friend can jump off roofs and walk on walls. He can teach you!”

“Jump off roofs? Walk on walls? Really?” Noah’s eyes widened with excitement.

Sienna nodded and called Miles. Miles arrived at the house quickly. “Play some climbing games with Noah,” Sienna instructed. “And take excellent care of him.” Rock climbing games? Child’s play! Why would a top-tier agent be doing this?

“Make sure Noah has fun,” Sienna stated firmly. “Or I’ll have you transferred to the Africa division.”

“Fine! Alright!” Miles agreed instantly.

Sienna handed Noah over to Miles and left the manor. Just as she had anticipated. Vanessa had finally made her move. Perfect. The show was about to begin.
