"What? Such a thing happened? That girl didn't mention a word of it!" Dean Carter's eyes widened in shock as he listened to Donald Lee's account, immediately realizing how perilous the situation had been.

"That girl's medical skills are truly remarkable. You know William Harris, right? We were both in danger during the car accident today. I was pinned to my seat by a steel pipe, but he had it worse—his arm was twisted like a pretzel. The worst part? When Elena tried to stop his bleeding with acupuncture, he stubbornly refused, boasting that he was fine. And then what happened?"

Donald Lee shook his head. "He ended up vomiting blood and going into shock. Elena saved him. The hospital said he had severe internal bleeding—he's still in surgery now."

Dean Carter patted his shoulder. "Don't worry. A promising talent like her—I’ll make sure she gets the best training."

Donald Lee suddenly remembered Elena's special requests. If she had brought them up herself, she might have been dismissed as unreasonable.

"By the way, arrange a private consultation room for her. It should have heating, preferably with a small rest area and 24-hour hot water. And..." He paused. "Her meals should be at your standard."

"Got it, got it." Dean Carter chuckled, cutting him off. "I’ve already looked into it. She uses qi energy for acupuncture. After treating me today, her face was pale, and she was shivering under a blanket. No wonder she rushed to eat candy the moment she arrived—she needed to replenish her energy."

Donald Lee sighed in relief. "One more thing... She wants lollipops and chocolates as part of her benefits. Could the hospital provide some daily?"

"Consider it done." Dean Carter stood up. "You’re injured and still worrying about everything. Get some rest. I need to make my rounds."

After Dean Carter left, Donald Lee suddenly remembered something and asked Henry Carter, "What about Elena’s brother?"

"He escorted her to the dormitory. He should be heading back soon." Henry Carter had a good impression of Daniel. "That young man is incredibly strong—he pried open a twisted car door with his bare hands."

Donald Lee's eyes lit up. "Here’s what we’ll do—assign him to work under you for a couple of years. Both siblings are exceptional. They’re worth me sticking my neck out for."

"Don’t worry, I’ll handle it." Henry Carter gave a solemn nod. "Right now, your priority is to recover."

Once the chief had settled down to rest, Henry Carter quietly stepped out of the ward and instructed the secretary, "Keep an eye on the IV. Call the doctor immediately if anything happens."

In the HR office, Elena was filling out forms. With the dean’s special approval, the process moved swiftly.

"You can submit the photo tomorrow." The HR director collected the documents. "Ryan Lee, take her to the Traditional Medicine Department for onboarding."

The Traditional Medicine Department wasn’t too busy in the afternoon. Ryan Lee knocked on the director’s office door. "Director Walker, I’ve brought the new recruit!"

Daniel Walker greeted them warmly, his gaze sweeping over Elena. "And this is...?"

"Dr. Elena Ward, from Acupuncture." Ryan Lee introduced her. "She’ll be working under you from now on."

Elena bowed respectfully. "Director Walker, it’s an honor. I look forward to your guidance."

Daniel Walker nodded approvingly. The girl seemed well-mannered.

Ryan Lee stood to leave. "The dorm key is with me—don’t forget to pick it up." He hesitated. "Oh, and she’ll be staying in the experts’ building."

Daniel Walker nearly dropped his teacup—the experts’ building? Even he, as a director, didn’t qualify for that!

"Wait!" He quickly grabbed Ryan Lee’s arm. "Stay a moment..." His mind reeled—what kind of background did this girl have?

Ryan Lee waved him off. "Dean Carter’s orders. She won’t be assigned to outpatient duties yet—not until her private consultation room is ready." With that, he left swiftly, leaving a stunned Daniel Walker behind.
