After I Walked Away, My Billionaire Ex Begged Me Back
Chapter 374: Clara Took a Bite of the Cookie
Clara took a bite of the cookie.
"How is it?" Maya blinked eagerly, her face full of anticipation.
"Not bad. The sweetness is just right." Clara nodded.
"I tried every brand in the supermarket before picking this one!" Maya turned excitedly to Noah. "Want to try?"
"No." Noah adjusted his glasses. "I'm cutting back on carbs."
Before he finished speaking, Maya's hand froze mid-air, still holding the cookie.
Clara immediately reached out. "Give me another one."
Maya scooted closer, pouting. "You're the best, Clara."
Noah looked baffled.
The entire pack was gone in minutes. Clara only had three pieces—the rest disappeared into Maya's stomach.
Prof. Miriam returned with their documents. "It's 5:30. Cafeteria?"

They chose a private dining room on the fifth floor.
Clara flipped through the menu. "Sweet and sour ribs for Maya, boiled fish for Prof. Miriam..."
Maya's eyes sparkled with gratitude.
Noah remained silent throughout, so Clara simply ordered stir-fried seasonal vegetables for him.
Once the four dishes and soup arrived, Prof. Miriam paid with her card.
As they stepped out, they nearly collided with Prof. Lenora, who was surrounded by five students.
"Prof. Caldwell," Lenora smiled brightly. "I heard you're suspending graduate admissions this year?"
Miriam nodded impassively.
"What a shame." Lenora's gaze swept over Clara's group. "I've taken five new students this year. Avery, Zach, Reid, Victoria, Sloane—come say hello."
Maya suddenly gasped.
"What's wrong?" Clara whispered.
