Chapter 174: Paige Lawson's Eyes Reddened

"Grant, I did all this because I love you too much." Paige Lawson's eyes reddened, her voice trembling. "I just wanted to be with you forever. Can you forgive me this once?"

Grant Holloway's icy expression remained unmoved, his gaze frosty. "Do you realize this is a crime?"

"Don't use love as an excuse." His voice cut like a blade. "Hurting the person I care about most—is this your idea of love?"

"We're done." He turned to leave. "Don't ever show your face again."

Paige desperately grabbed his sleeve, only to be violently shaken off.

"Out of gratitude for saving my life, I'll let this slide." Grant's piercing glare bore into her. "There won't be a next time."

His black sports car vanished in a cloud of dust.

A sharp pain suddenly twisted through Paige's abdomen. Her irregular cycle had been delayed for over twenty days.

The blood staining her pants forced her to rush to the hospital.

"Congratulations, you're pregnant." The doctor handed her the test results. "Early pregnancy bleeding requires bed rest."

Paige stared blankly at the report.

It must have happened that New Year's Clara.

Her dull eyes suddenly ignited with hope.

This was her last chance to win Grant back.

The villa's front door swung open.

Grant was in his study, smashing objects in a rage.

"Get out!" he roared without looking up.

When he recognized the intruder, his expression darkened. "You dare come here?"

Summoning her courage, Paige pulled the test results from her bag. "I'm pregnant. It's yours."

Grant let out a cold laugh. "Get rid of it."

"What?" She froze as if struck by lightning.

A black card landed at her feet.

"Three million. Enough?" He looked down at her with disdain. "We're even."
